Secretary Roger cops Shield

January 24 2023:  Baritone Roger Lee was awarded the choir’s prestigious Alan Shield at the annual CMVC dinner on January 21.

Roger, who has been choir secretary for 19 years, was presented with the shield by choir chair Kim Ormond.

Kim praised Roger’s diligence, thoroughness, and attention to detail throughout his spell as secretary.  “We are very lucky to have someone as devoted to his task as Roger.”

Roger, who joined the choir in 2003, said he felt privileged to win the shield in a year when there were a number of other worthy contenders.  “And it’s an honour to join the other choir stalwarts who’ve been awarded the Alan Shield since 1996.”
