New season, new MD, new pianist

SEPTEMBER 10:  CMVC kicked off the 2018-19 season on Thursday with a new music director and new pianist.

Nat and Roger (JWT)

The new MD, Roger Pinsent, has joined the choir with a rich and varied cv - for full details, see Music Personnel.  He has taken over from Richard Hoyle who retired in June after 27 years with the choir.

Roger began his first rehearsal on Thursday with a new piece, Dona Nobis Pacem, which will be performed at the choir's first full concert under his leadership - the First World War commemoration at St Francis, West Wickham, on November 10.

Also taking part - on Thursday and November 10 - is the choir's new pianist, Nat Brawn.  He replaces Felipe Rodrigues who is shortly moving to Lisbon.  Nat's cv can be found on the Music Personnel page.

Both the new music officers enjoyed the rehearsal and were well-received by the choir.
