The Truro Diaries

During the choir's preparation for the Truro competition and festival, five members kept secret diaries, recording their commentary on events as tension mounted week by week.   The five also described their thoughts during the competition itself, when Croydon came a creditable fifth out of ten in the section for choirs of 41-plus members.

The diaries have now been published as a CMVC Newsletter Special, and are available from choir contacts or at choir concerts .  The five diarists are:  John Giffen, Bass; Andrew Dadley, Baritone; Dick Jones, Second Tenor; Chris Vincent, Top Tenor; and Richard Hoyle, Musical Director.
