Whitgift singalong wows Xmas shoppers

December 5: Choir members turned out in force for the first of this year’s traditional Christmas sings at the Whitgift Centre yesterday.  The choir sang, with breaks, from 11am to 4pm and received  a stream of greetings and thanks from passing shoppers.

The choir was collecting for the Crisis at Christmas charity and the shoppers responded generously.  CMVC will be returning to the Centre on Saturday December 17.
One of the most popular numbers proved to the choir’s lively rendition of The Jolly Roger, performed in suitable fancy dress as the photograph shows.

The choir is especially grateful to the choir WAGS who shook the collecting buckets at passers-by, to great effect.
