The Royal wedding

Choir member Martin Perkins celebrated his wedding at a spectacular street party on Saturday May 28.   The Croydon choir serenaded Martin and his new wife Cathy with two 20-minute spots at the Royal Standard pub, where Martin is the guvnor.   The festivities started in early afternoon and lasted well into the night.

Mr and Mrs Perkins arrive at the party. 

Martin and Cathy were married at Gretna Green on May 27 and returned to London by helicopter.    They arrived at the party at 4pm.  When the Croydon choir began its first set,  Martin joined the front row to help serenade Cathy with "There is nothing like a dame."
